A.J. Pero of Twisted Sister and Adrenaline Mob Dies at 55
It’s with a heavy heart and Adrenaline Mob and Twisted Sister cranking HARD that I write about the death of A.J. Pero. As a member of Twisted Sister he helped define heavy metal in the 80’s and as a member of Adrenaline Mob he helped them take their sound to a harder, higher level on their second full length disc, MEN OF HONOR.
I consider MEN OF HONOR the metal album of the year for 2014 and highly recommend it to any and all metalheads! A.J. was considered one of the premier drummers in the world and absolutely killed it on this disc. His work with Adrenaline Mob is outstanding and completely blows me away. As I listen to Dearly Departed and look at a signed postcard from the guys in AMOB with tears in my eyes I am shaken by the heartache of his untimely death.
Do yourself a favor and pick up your copy of Adrenaline Mob’s Men of Honor, turn it up LOUD and bask in the memory of one of hard rock and heavy metal’s greatest stickmen and best guys you’d ever want to meet.
R.I.P. and Godspeed to you A.J.
Thank you for all the great music you’ve left with us.
Here are two of the best examples of his work:
