DEAD SARA AND HALESTORM GET YOUR ROCKS OFF WITH THESE HOT VIDEOS

dead-sara-mona-lisa video

Dead Sara have just released the first single from their upcoming sophomore album, ‘Pleasure to Meet You.’ The new song, ‘Mona Lisa,’ is accompanied by a music video featuring some good old-fashioned rock and roll debauchery.

‘Mona Lisa’ is an interesting step forward for Dead Sara. The unapologetically raw and beautifully bittersweet dynamics of the band has carried over to ‘Mona Lisa,’ while exploring new realms of soul and heavy riffing.

‘Mona Lisa’ starts off with finger snapping and humming that feels like it was imported straight from America’s south. Frontwoman Emily Armstrong leads the song with her Kurt Cobain-meets-Stevie Nicks vocals while guitarist Siouxsie Medley drives ‘Mona Lisa’ forward with a beefy groove.

While taking many twists and turns, Dead Sara’s new music video switches from being uncomfortable to quirky and fun, much like your classic high school house party. The characters at this party, however, are anything but normal youths. Picture a human version of the Island of Misfit Toys.

Dead Sara will release ‘Pleasure to Meet You’ in March via their own label, Pocket Kid Records. You can pre-order the album through Dead Sara’s PledgeMusic page. With your pre-order, you’ll receive an instant download of the track ‘Suicidal.’ Check out ‘Mona Lisa’ below!

Halestorm Amen Lyrics

Lzzy Hale taking notes rather than singing them? Arejay Hale slinging hash instead of swinging drumsticks? Josh Smith bussing kids instead of busting bass lines? Joe Hottinger selling guitars rather than playing them? No, Halestorm‘s members haven’t given up music. It’s just the band playing a little bit of “what if” in their new video for “Amen.”

In the clip, all four band members find themselves in alternate universe jobs with each struggling to get through the day. But just one listen to the song “Amen” and you realize that Halestorm have an anthem on their hands and that their “Amen” moment is the time they’re able to get away from the 9 to 5 grind and let loose by rocking in a club.

“This video was so much fun to make,” says Lzzy Hale, who rocks a power suit, glasses and an ear-based microphone quite well. The vocalist tells Rolling Stone, who premiered the video, “This song ‘Amen’ is about taking ownership of everything you are. So we asked ourselves, if there were a Church of Halestorm, what would it be like? We include a nod to the rock and roll church we recorded our last album in and you see us truly leaving everyday life behind and stepping ‘Into the Wild Life.’ Hope you enjoy!”

“Amen” appears on the Into the Wild Life album, which arrives on April 14. It follows on the heels of the current single “Apocalyptic” and the recently previewed track “Mayhem.” You can pre-order the disc in a variety of bundle options at this location. And look for further “amen” moments on tour this spring when Halestorm team up with The Pretty Reckless for dates running April 22 through June 14. See all the band’s tour dates here.
