I discovered HALESTORM about six weeks ago when I first saw the “Love Bites(So Do I),” video. I fell in love with Lzzy and the boys immediately. Honestly, mostly Lzzy initially but now that I’ve spent the past month jamming to the entire album over and over and over I am in love with the entire band. In fact, right now, it’s my favorite album of 2012, yes, even beating the new VAN HALEN, ACCEPT, LACUNA COIL, and CORROSION OF CONFORMITY albums.

I find Lzzy simply unforgettable.

So, the news that HALESTORM has made history by being the first female fronted rock band to ever take the No. 1 spot on the Active Rock Airplay chart with “Love Bites (So Do I),” has me pumped!

Halestorm latest album ‘The Strange Case Of…’ is the follow up to their self titled debut album from 2009.

The chart-topping achievement of ‘Love Bites (So Do I)’ follows the No. 1 debut on Billboard’s Hard Rock Albums chart by ‘The Strange Case Of…,’ which also cracked the Top 15 onto the Billboard 200 chart.

Lzzy Hale and the gang are currently on the road as part of the Mass Chaos tour with Godsmack and Staind, as well as playing various festivals and headlining gigs.

In  Loudwire’s interview with frontwoman Lzzy Hale, before the album came out, she talked about ‘The Strange Case Of…’ by saying, “It’s definitely a step forward from the last record. What we wanted to do with this record was bridge the gap between our last one and what everybody keeps telling us what we sound like live or what they’ve experienced from a live show.”

She went on to say, “Coming to the end of it, you know making a record is always hell, it’s this good hell [laughs] that you have to go through. If it wasn’t hell we wouldn’t be so proud of it.” With all of these accomplishments and much more to come in the future, Halestorm have much to be proud of.
