This new VAN HALEN song has been a long time coming. Having only listened to Tattoo a couple times so far my initial reaction is positive.

I like this tune. It’s sounds like VAN HALEN. First plus. The musicianship is top notch still. Plus two. David Lee Roth sounds the same as the day he left almost 30 years ago. Plus Three. The video is fun just like the David Lee Roth era VAN HALEN always was. Plus four.

The song as a good groove, good guitar tone, and a great solo from Eddie. I think it’s a real nice way to re-introduce VAN HALEN in 2012. Accessible to all the old fans like me and the younger crowd like my 24 year old son.

Make sure you turn it up LOUD and ENJOY!
