“I finally felt like a rock star,” chuckles singer Ivan Moody about Five Finger Death Punch‘s brand new music video for “Under and Over It”.

Moody and his band mates deserve that feeling more than any other group of guys on the scene. Going “gold” and having hits in a day and age when that just doesn’t happen for rock bands, they’re holding the fort down and waving the flag for real artists everywhere. They’ve busted their asses and put blood, sweat, and tears into every note they’ve committed to tape and every gig they’ve played. In that respect, “Under and Over It” represents the beginning of the next chapter for Five Finger Death Punch. It’s the first single from their forthcoming third masterpiece, American Capitalist [Available October 11, 2011], and it’s one of the band’s best anthems to date. However, wait until you see the music video, which the band is now premiering on!

This is the best music video of the year. It’s got a bevy of beautiful women, an insane pool party, some hilarious jabs, and even the classic hip hop-style slow-motion shot of the guys walking to a private jet. However, guitarist Zoltan Bathory describes the music video for “Under and Over It Best”. He says, “We wanted to hit a pretty sarcastic tone with it, so it looks like a typical big cock rock video, but in a tongue in cheek way. We put all the “big-time video” clichés in it except for the booty shake… or maybe we even got that, I don’t remember. We do have the party scenes, cars, airplanes, mansions, pools and girls—of course you can’t have a raaawwwk video without your token pool scene. Also, it’s shot from a behind-the-scenes perspective where you can actually see the director ‘trying’ to direct our music video. He is running in and out of the frames, posing the band, trying to make us act a certain way, which is pretty typical of most video shoots and it always annoys the hell out of the bands. It’s an interesting angle the fans never get to see, and adds to the sarcasm of the whole clip. We just wanted to have fun with it, and actually it ended up being a blast and more of a party than a stressful video shoots. Maybe we’ll shoot part two for this [Laughs].”

Plus, it matches the lyrics sarcastic, sharp tone and there are moments of true gut-wrenching emotion from Moody in the midst of it. Without further pomp and circumstance, we’re proud to present the music video for “Under and Over It” only on”
