DEEP PURPLE MADE IN JAPAN COMPLETE DUE IN AUGUST(VIDEO) CARMEN AND VINNY APPICE TO COMPETE IN FIRST EVER DRUM WARS! VIDEO OF AVENGED SEVENFOLD PLAYING EPIC “SAVE ME,” LIVE FOR FIRST TIME.

According to JonLord.org, next August will see the release of a new DEEP PURPLE DVD box set containing film all three of the band’s Japanese concerts from August 1972.
Titled “Made In Japan Complete”, the three-disc box set will coincide with the 39th anniversary of DEEP PURPLE‘s August 1972 Japanese tour.
Until recently, it was thought only a few minutes of fragmentary film footage existed from one of the shows. All of this was included on the “Deepest Purple” 30th anniversary reissue last year.
Now, several new rolls of film have been unearthed by the band’s video archivist, and DEEP PURPLE‘s former keyboardist Jon Lord is looking forward to their release.
“These are historic recordings that we never even knew existed, but now everyone will be able to experience the band in full flight the way we were over those three very special nights in Japan,” he said.
“I particularly look forward to re-living the amazing interplay we had between us. I shall sit myself down with a glass of red and watch it all.”

AVENGED SEVENFOLD will embark on the headlining “Welcome To The Family Tour” in April/May with support from THREE DAYS GRACE, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE and SEVENDUST.
AVENGED SEVENFOLD kicked off the “Nightmare After Christmas” tour on January 20 in Reading, Pennsylvania. The show marked AVENGED‘s live debut with Arin Ilejay, formerly the drummer for Los Angeles-based Christian rock group CONFIDE, who is sitting behind the kit for all of AVENGED‘s upcoming tour dates.
The relatively unknown Ilejay is the second drummer to play with AVENGED SEVENFOLD following the December
2009 death of original drummer James “The Rev” Sullivan. The band recruited ex-DREAM THEATER drummer Mike Portnoy to play on its latest album, “Nightmare”, and all its 2010 tour dates before dismissing him at the end of the year.
Ilejay played on CONFIDE‘s 2008 debut album, “Shout The Truth”, and appeared on tour with the group.
Sullivan was found dead in his Huntington Beach, California home at the age of 28. His death was attributed to a lethal
combination of prescription drugs and alcohol.
The latest single from “Nightmare” is “Welcome To The Family”.
