Def Leppard’s Joe Elliot Fronts New Band
DOWN ‘N OUTZ — a project fronted by DEF LEPPARD‘s Joe Elliott, backed by THE QUIREBOYS and playing rare tracks connected only by MOTT THE HOOPLE — recently filmed a video for “Overnight Angels”, the second radio single from the band’s debut album, “My ReGeneration”.
DOWN ‘N OUTZ recently parted ways with bass player Ronnie Garrity. Elliott stated: “Of course we wish Ronnie all the best in his future endeavors. We will announce a new bass player shortly, but I can say now that it won’t be [DEF LEPPARD bassist Rick Savage]!”
DOWN ‘N OUTZ will support Paul Rodgers (BAD COMPANY, FREE, QUEEN) on his U.K. tour in April 2011
Commented Elliott: “I’m very happy about this! I was personally invited by Paul to do this tour, and I can’t wait for it. Obviously the Sheffield show will be very special for me, but I’m also looking forward to play at the legendary Royal Albert Hall very much!”
